The owner, Reiko Harris, was traveling the world in her mid-20s. Her last destination before heading back home to Japan, was Hawaii. She was reading a book on the sands of Waikiki beach when she met her future husband. Phillip was on duty as a lifeguard at the time. Their connection was instant and she fell in love with both him and the island.

Inspired by her own personal experience of romance and love in Hawaii, she established Kity's Inc. over 25 years ago. Kity's Inc partnered with American Holiday, a Japan-based company, that helped couples fulfill their dreams of being married in Hawaii. Many of her employees have helped the company grow and remain with her until today. As loyalty and experience are among the values she holds most dear.

During the pandemic, she realized that she needed to expand her small business in order to thrive. With the help of her two daughters, she registered her business with Google Maps and created this website.
